One Fragrance Is Usually Enough for a Weekend Away
Pack a familiar scent, protect the bottle and give yourself fewer choices when you are away from home.

It is easy to plan a fragrance for every part of a weekend: one for the journey, another for dinner, something different for Sunday. Then the toiletry bag becomes a collection you have to protect and keep track of.
For a short trip, one familiar fragrance is often enough. The practical question is which one you will enjoy in the places you are actually going.
Choose for the busiest part of the trip
If most of the weekend means close indoor spaces, pick something you already wear comfortably in those settings. If the plans are relaxed, you do not need a separate bottle for every outfit.
Leave a brand-new sample at home if you want an easy trip. A small familiar bottle gives you one less uncertain decision when you are getting ready somewhere unfamiliar.
Check the container before packing
Make sure the closure is secure and the bottle is not leaking. A protective pouch can keep it from knocking against hard objects; a separate sealed bag can help contain a spill.
If you are using a refillable atomizer, follow its instructions and identify the contents clearly. Do not assume every small container works with every perfume bottle. A manufacturer-supplied travel size can be simpler if it is available.
Pack for the journey you are taking
Put the perfume somewhere it will not be crushed. Avoid leaving the bag with the bottle in a hot parked car. If flying or using another regulated carrier, check the current official rules for that journey before packing; the word “travel” on a bottle is not a transport approval.
There is no need to bring a full-size bottle just because it is the one on your dresser. Choose the smallest suitable amount you already have.
Keep the weekend routine light
Apply away from fellow passengers and shared rooms, and respect any scent-free requests. You may find that you want less fragrance while traveling, particularly in close spaces.
A perfume can connect a trip with a pleasant memory, but that does not require a complicated rotation. Pack one you know, give it a sensible place in the bag, and spend the rest of your attention on the weekend.
